VAIRO, Enrica (Rica) - Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her parents Antonio and Antonia (Briglio) Lento. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Luigi Vairo. Loving mother of Rosa Caputo (Mario), Gisella Pagliaro (Rudy), Marisa Polito (Geniale) and Frank Vairo (Angie). Cherished grandmother of James Caputo (Grace), Daniel Caputo, Teresa Ianni-Palarchio (Richard), Eugene Pagliaro (Carla), Maurice Pagliaro (Delia), Rosemarie and Laura Pagliaro, Sonya Gioia (Cesare), Nadia Tassone (Bruno), Antonio Polito(fiancé Lisa Pagliaro), Trina Onofrio (Tyler), Louis, Robert and Jonathon Vairo. Great grandmother of Enrico and Matteo Ianni-Palarchio, Savanah Caputo, Nico Onofrio and Massimo Pagliaro. Precious sister of Lino Lento (late Rosa) and Pasquale Lento (Concetta) of Sault Ste. Marie, Emilia Russo (Antonio) of France and Lodi Lento (Anna Rosa Viola) of Italy. Dear sister-in-law of Antonia Caruso (late Angelo) and Emilia Bentivoglio (late Paolino) of Ottawa, late Ernesto Vairo (late Carmina) of Vancouver, British Columbia, late Giuseppe Vairo (late Christina), late Giovanni Vairo (Elvira), late Teresa Metallo (late Amedeo) and the late Mario Vairo all of Italy. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. She had an extraordinary passion for cooking and always enjoyed the company of her family and friends who may now call at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Gregory's Church on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital or the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
