Obituary of Francesco Buffone

Surrounded by the love of his family, Francesco was called to the Lord on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Josephine "Pina". Loving father of Lou (Carla), John (Charlotte), Franca (John) and Andy (Christina). Devoted Nanno to Adam, Jessica, Lucas, Taylor, Michael, Anthony and Nyah. Loving brother to his devoted sister Rosaria Pedatella (Emilio) and the late Luigi Buffone. Brother-in-law of Rosaria Zagordo (late Garofolo), late Joe Spina (Emma) and Frank Spina (Eda). Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Francesca Buffone and in-laws Antonio and Elvira Spina. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Special friend of Compari "Pepe" Santoro. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Veronica's Church at 2 p.m. with Father Eric Pannike officiating. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital or Breaking Away would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the ICU unit for their care and support, and to Franca, Pina, Jimmy and Mary for their unconditional love to their special Zio. Our father was the most supportive and loving Dad any family could ask for. We will miss him dearly, but take comfort in knowing he is now sharing a dance in heaven with Mom.
