Emilia PucciVecchio passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the F. J. Davey Home on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the age of 83. Emilia will always be remembered for a kind and generous heart and her genuine care and love for everyone. She always welcomed people into her home and would gladly bake cookies and cake and was not shy to encourage you to eat more. Emilia will be forever missed by family and friends. Great comfort is felt knowing that she has joined many angels who have welcomed her into Heaven; most importantly her husband Giovanni. Beloved mother of Angelo (Louise), Ed (Lila) of Ottawa, Luisa Gaudio (late Gabriele), Silvana Pucci of Toronto, Mary Healy of Toronto, Joseph (Anna) of Mississauga and Eva Sicoly (Ron). Cherished Nonna of Sara Hanchuk (Derek) and John Pucci, Stephanie and Matthew Pucci of Ottawa, Domenica Braido (Angelo), Franca Spadafora (Aldo) and Rosanna Gaudio, Alexander Healy, Anthony and Andrew Pucci, Stephen and Alyssa Sicoly. Great grandmother of Luca and Marcus Spadafora. Daughter of the late Pasquale and Francesca Spina. Sister of the late Beatrice Bennato (late Giovanni), late Vincenzo Spina (Fiorina), the late Saverio Spina (late Giuseppina), Mario Spina (Gracia), Maria Spina and Antonio Spina all of Italy and her nephew Francesco Bennato (Gina). Sister-in-law of the late Santo (Caterina), Ida Veltri (Ricardo) and the late Fiore Pucci (Lucrezia) of Sault Ste. Marie. Emilia will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Sunday evening from 6 - 9 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Gregory's Church on Monday, April 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Eric Pannike officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to ARCH, Canadian Diabetes Association or National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to Judith and Susan.
