Obituary of Agostino Policicchio

POLICICCHIO, Agostino It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce to our family and friends the peaceful passing of Agostino on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the age of 81, at the Sault Area Hospital with family by his side. He was born on July 10, 1930 in Lago, Cosenza, Italy to the late Enrico and the late Carmela Policicchio, son-in-law of the late Pasquale and the late Rosina Perri of Italy. Loving husband and best friend of Maria (nee Perri) for 50 years. Cherished and loving father of Pasquale "Pat" (Leslie) and Giovanni "John" (Sharon). Nonno to precious granddaughter Leah, Peter Duguay, Samantha and Erin Candido. Special brother of the late Giuseppe (Ottorina), late Saverio of Italy, late Michele (Francesca), late Mario (Rosetta) of Toronto, Giuseppina Muto (late Generoso) of Italy, Rosina Piluso (Domenico) of Italy, Maria Cavaliere (Achille) and Antonio (Lina). Brother-in-law of Adelina Iacoe (late Pietro) Assunta Bruni (Alfredo) and Ida Felice (Franco) of Italy. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their children. He was proud of each and everyone of his family members. Agostino is resting in peace and has been greeted in heaven by his family and friends. Visitation will be at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Veronica's Church on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., with Reverend Ron Ambeault officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to St. Veronica's Church or Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit at Sudbury Regional Hospital and Palliative Care at Sault Area Hospital, Dr. Mario Febbraro and Dr. Ross Mantle.
