Dear Anna and Family: So sorry to hear of Len's passing. I had dropped in to see him the day I saw you, but he was sleeping so peacefully I did not want to wake him. You and he have had some good years together, and I am sure you have many wonderful memories. Len was the main reason that the Northern Credit Union became what it is today. He will never be forgotten. Thinking of you and your family at this very sad time. Take care of yourself. Sorry I couldn't go to the funeral as I am out of town. Donna Crosson

Dear Linda, Liane and Pamela, Bernadette and I were saddened to hear of your father's passing. Our deepest condolences to you and each of your families. I have such fond memories of Len and Gerry hosting family gatherings at your home and cottage. Those were always such enjoyable events for everyone, especially memorable for the family "discussions" among Uncle Leonard and his brothers. Leonard was truly a brilliant man, full of passion and inspiration. His founding and building of the Sault (later Northern) Credit Union from a small office in your basement was a remarkable achievement, one full of dedication to the interests of ordinary working folk. I want to express my sadness at your loss, my admiration for Uncle Len and my love to you all.

I was saddened to read of Len's passing. My late wife and I joined the Credit Union when he was working out of an old house on McNabb and gave anyone opening an account a silver dollar. Two bucks. But to two starving young teachers it seemed like a good deal. Years later I am still proudly a member and I will always remember his gentle guidance and friendship. You have every right to be proud of him - an outstanding gentleman. May God rest his soul.

Dear Linda, Lianne and Pamela: I have many fond memories of your dad(and mom) from our childhood days when we were at SF Howe together and I spent lots of time with your family. Your parents were always kind and included me in many of your family activities. I remember the beginning of the Credit Union in the downstairs of your house and also our Savings Club at S F Howe School. Thinking of you at this sad time and remembering happier days. Laurel Young
