Obituary of Wilfred Vaillancourt

VAILLANCOURT, Wilfred Joseph - With his family by his side, Wilfred died June 6, 2012. He has gone to join his late wife Hilda who predeceased him in 2010. He was adored and respected by his children and grandchildren: Kathy and Augusto Palombi, Katie, Mark, Andrea; Betty and Mike Oliver, Matthew and Ben; Paul and Terri Vaillancourt, Tim. Son of the late Fred and Nellie Vaillancourt of Britt, Ontario. Brother of the late Helen McGoey (late Dr. James McGoey) of Winnipeg. Brother-in-law of Wilma Hughes of Tweed, Ontario and the late Frances and Mary Meraw. Wilfred was a generous and kind man who had a strong sense of faith and community. He served his country in World War II and was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Wilfred's life will be on Monday , June 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (114 MacDonald Avenue) with Father Pat Woods officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to SAH Foundation would be appreciated by the family. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
