Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, September 6, 2012 with his family by his side, at the age of 88 years. Loving husband and best friend of the late Elsie. Dearest father of John and Enrica, Dan and Rae, Philip and Ada. Most cherished grandfather of Allan (Kerri), Erin (Paul), Melissa (Jeremy), Amanda and Lori (Murray). Great grandfather of Chloe and Cole. Mario was the beloved son of the late Angelo and Angela Braido. Dear brother of Enzo and Brenda Braido, Ray "Skeets" and Anja Braido, Gloria Gunn (late Walter), the late Vera (late Al), the late Gino and Evelyn, the late Eddie, the late Orlando, the late Lena and Laurie Simonini and the late Eda Vernelli (William). Dear brother-in-law of Enzo and Bunny Antonello, Marie Antonello (late Bruno) and the late Lelia Zorzi (late Eli). Cherished Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mario will be fondly remembered as a very special grandfather and dear friend to many. Friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Monday, September 10, 2012 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Sault Area Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
