Obituary of Joan Durand

Passed away peacefully, with family by her side at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late John for 54 years. Dear mother of Lynn Durand of Sault Ste. Marie and Peter Durand (Laura) of Vancouver, B.C. Cherished grandmother of Carlee Brescacin and Allison and Mitchell Durand. Predeceased by her parents Leota and George Frechette. Sister of the late Lauretta Chaput (late Joseph), late Margaret Cooper (late Barry), late George Frechette (late Joyce), late Alberta Hubley (late Rodger) and Kenneth Frechette (Bertelaine). Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Joan is a Past President of the Ontario Provincial C.W.L. and Life Member. Family and friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Monday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral mass at Precious Blood Cathedral on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Hamish Currie officiating. Memorial donations to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
