Obituary of Catherine Murphy

Went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2012 after a short stay at ARCH. She was predeceased by her husband Jerry Murphy and parents Clair and Valentine Rogoshensky, brothers Bill Van Atta, Peter "Rick", Harland and only sister June McEarchern. Loving and much loved mother of Catherine Simpson (George). Cherished grandmother of Donna (Doug), Verna (Tracy), Jim (Christina) and Brent Simpson. Great grandmother of 15. Ellie loved her family immensely. During her life she had been a seamstress and dress maker owning her own shop in Whitehorse, Yukon. Darts and dogs were also her joy. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to ARCH would be appreciated by the family. Special thank you to ARCH staff and Dr. Buehner and also to the many family members who took time out of their busy lives to spend time with her. I will miss you forever, "my mother, my best friend."
