Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, October 1, 2012 in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Victoria Smith. Loving father of Wayne (Denise). Proud grandfather of Ryan (Janice). Dear brother of the late Alfred, Robert (Mary) and Norman (Eve). He was well known as Uncle Bill to many family and friends. Bill was a lifetime, active member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Rev. Patrick McManus officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund or Ontario Heart & Stoke which would be appreciated by the family.
