Obituary of Stacia MacPherson

Passed away peacefully at Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, November 6th 2012, approaching her 84th year. Her final hours were shared with her family amidst laughter, song and tears of love. Beloved wife of the late Duncan MacPherson. Loving mother of Bill (Judi), Scott (Debbie), Jennifer Lewis (Bob), and Bob (Roberta). Special Gramma to Heather, Emily, Shawna and Leah. She was the daughter of the late William and Kathryn (Wright) MacInnis. She is survived by her sister Jo Beaton of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. Mom was predeceased by her sister Jean MacKinnon, brothers James MacInnis and Billy Jr., brothers-in-law Chalmers Beaton and C.R. MacKinnon and sister-in-law Madeline McInnis, all of Glace Bay. Mom is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly. She will be missed by her many friends at the Senior Citizen's Drop In Center and The Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Her courage and sense of humour never diminished, nor her deep love for her family or her Cape Breton home. Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, November 9th, 2012 from 11 a.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Zub officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SAH, Humane Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to everyone at SAH for their support and care.
