Obituary of Edward Farrell

FARRELL Edward Alexander "Alex"- Passed away peacefully at home with his faithful pup, Max by his side on December 9, 2012. His story began 83 years ago in Cloverville, Nova Scotia when he was born to the late Billy and Mae Farrell. Alex is now reunited with his wife, Ruth of 55 years. He was a loving father to Bill (Connie), Betty Currie (Ron), Brenda Ross (Darrell), the late Bob (Linda Lewis), Bernie (Susie), Beverly White (Bob), Blaise (Sam), Bruce (Toni), Brian (Sheila) and Brad (Maureen). Alex cherished all of his grandchildren, Bruce Fawcett (Natalie), Chuck Fawcett, Katie Zuccato (Adam), Ivy-Mae, Sara Boileau (Joe), Allison, Kyla, Dana, Tyler, Brant, Amanda Hay (Tim), Cory, Shane (Melissa), Jason (Amanda), Mackenzie (Crystal), Kelsie, Christopher, Melanie, Johnathon, Matthew, Candace Collver, Trevor Collver, Nikki, Ashley, Emma, Avery, Connor, Logan and Nolen. Blessed are his great grandchildren Billy - Bob , Gracie, Ethan, Cole, Jasmine, Regan, Zachary, Joey, Natalie, Billy, Madison, James, Averi and Jordan to have been able to meet such a great man. He shared many memories with his siblings, late Frank (Nora), John (Joan), Mary MacDougall (late Jim)and the late Peggy Punch (Tom). Alex will also be missed dearly by sister-in-law Betty Hannan, special friend Jean and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 10 until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Father Veselko Kvesic. Memorial donations to charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
