Devoe, Brenda Eleanor - August 18, 1949 - January 2, 2013 On Wednesday, January 2, 2013, after a long, courageous fight, Brenda passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends. Beloved wife of the late James Devoe. Loving mother of Michael and Marla. Daughter of Lorraine Chillman (late George). Daughter-in-law of the late Doris Devoe and Napolean Devoe. Sister of Michael Chillman, Laurie McBride (Randy) and Dianne Green (Joe). Sister-in-law of Jack (Sally), Gordon Devoe (Claudia), Larry Devoe (Nancy), late William Devoe (Frances) and late Paulette Devoe. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Brenda had a heart of gold and will be missed by many close friends and her pets Buddy and Lily. She loved life and touched the hearts of many people and was a very giving, caring person to everyone. Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of Brenda's life at the Elks Hall on Bay Street on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Memorial donations to SAH Renal Care or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks to the nurses in 3C at SAH and to Dr. Berry, Dr. Shafiee, Dr. Mathew and the nurses in ICU for doing all they could for Brenda and making her feel as comfortable as possible during her stay there.
