Obituary of Ronald Lundie

LUNDIE, Ronald After a courageous battle with cancer, Ron passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday April 3, 2013 with his family by his side. Ron emigrated from England in 1969 and made Sault Ste. Marie his home. He worked hard as an electrician at Algoma Steel and with IBEW. Even after retirement Ron stayed very active. He was a handy man for friends and family and spent time volunteering at the Sault Area Hospital for many years. Loving father of Jacqueline Wood (Rick) and Mark (Joanne). Adored Grandad of Nicole, Michelle, Mathieu, Marc, Bryanna, Ronan and Ethan. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Francis Irene. Brother of Ritchie (Daphne) and the late Joy. Ron will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from noon until time of memorial service at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Phil Miller officiating. Memorial donations to the SAH Volunteer Association or SAH Oncology Unit would be appreciated by the family.
