With the love of his family by his side, Basil gently passed away, at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the age of 87. Dear husband of Olive for 63 years. Loving father of Connie (Bill), Jerry (Sue), Keith (Ruth), Shelley (Randy), Karen, Brad (Carrie) and Sandra (Jake). Cherished grandfather of Bruce (Natalie), Chuck, Katy (Adam), Ivy (Murray), Zack, Megan (Dave), Kim (Dave), Cara (Martin), Kristi (Tim), Brennan, Amber (Anthony), Kendra, Colten, Scott (Sarah), Robbie, Emma (late Kyle) and Max. Great-grandfather of Ethan, Cole, Joey, Billy, Gracey, Ranger, Sophie, Jerryd, Carma and Jayce. Basil will be fondly remembered by Albert Tourigny and Shari Bellerive. Son of the late Hannah and John Jones. Brother of the late Freeman, late Laura, late Bert (late Mable), late Martin (late Pearl), late Myrtle (late Harvey), late Ada (late Eddie), late Alice (late Gordon), late Lexie (late Russell), late John (Katherine), late Margaret (late Alex) and Lloyd. Son-in-law of Gertie and Oswald Black. Brother-in-law of the late Jim, late Ben, Eileen, Wanda (late Jerry), late Lloyd (Alma), Mel, Bill (Kay), Gary (Ethel), late Lee (Carmen) and Sharon (Marvin). Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Sunday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.
