One last greeting to our dear uncle Horst. We will always remember you as the adventurer. When we grew up Hella received annual letters from Canada. You wrote about hiking and canoeing trips, sent pictures of you and your family in the beautiful Canadian nature, magnificent autumn forests and impressive lakes. We dreamt about going to Canada to visit you and we wanted to meet our happy smiling cousins from the photos. Many years passed by, but in 2007 you came to Hella in Sweden. It was a happy gathering, we hadn´t seen you since we were children and met you in Wolfsburg. Hella was very, very pleased and we know that those days, sharing memories and so on meant a lot to her. Her Alzheimer's is now getting worse.
Finally, last autumn, we were able to make our journey to Canada and the warmth and the hospitality we met overwhelmed us. You showed us the wilderness and shared your stories. We are deeply grateful that our dream about Canada and visiting you and your family finally came true. This is how we will remember you and you will always be in our hearts.
With love from all of us in Sweden,
thru Monica and Anneli
