EAKETT, Courtney - Surrounded by the love of her family, in the arms of her mother, Courtney passed away at the tender age of 17 on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Remarkable daughter of Ruth and Jim Morley and Ken Eakett. Dear sister of Maggie and Evan Eakett and Joel Forbes. Cherished granddaughter of Mel and Lynne Eakett and predeceased by Ellis and Emily Allan. Step granddaughter of Dennis Morley and Carol Morley. Courtney was the beloved niece of the late Karen (Bill Bedell), Kathy and Dave Finnessey, Joe and Joan Allan, Gord and Kellie Allan, Jane and Brian Rawson, Andrew and Zenith Eakett. She will be fondly remembered by her aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Courtney's BFF's Amie Thain and Megan Burch will miss her dearly. With a smile on her face every day throughout the past two years, Courtney courageously and without fear faced her illness and was an inspiration to all. A private family funeral service was held. Friends are invited to a come and go in Courtney's honour at the home of Joe and Joan Allan on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 5 p.m. Memorial donations to Camp Oochigeas, NOFCC or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758). www.northwoodfuneral.com
