Peacefully surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer, at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the age of 76. Son of the late Gennaro and Giuseppina Posteraro. Beloved husband of Antonietta. Loving father of Pina Franco (Cosmo), Gino (Cally-Anne), Mario (Wendy), Anna Cesario (Alfredo) and Tony (Brandy). Proud nonno of Maria Alillovic and Bruno Franco, Angelo, Jenalee, Paolo, Evan and Aaron Posteraro, Anthony Cesario and Luca Posteraro and his two great granddaughters. Loving brother of Vincenzo (late Nella), Assunta Bruni (late Raphaele), late Carmine, Antonio and Pasquale (Armida); brother-in-law of Melina Runco (Mario), the late Beniamino Mazzuca (Annetta), Gabriele Mazzuca (Carmela), Menotti Mazzuca (Maria), Venanzio Mazzuca (Theresa), Aquilina Demiglio (Franco) and Quinto Mazzuca (Lucy). Zio of many nieces and nephews. Dedicated father and hardworking man until the last minute. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Sunday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Gregory's Church on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. A very special thank you to his nurse Ingrid for being so caring and compassionate.
