Obituary of Donald Duguay

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, at ARCH on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of the late Mabel Duguay. Loving father of David Sparks, Linda Doran (Mike), Denise Bailey (Randy), Brian Sparks and the late Danny Duguay. Cherished papa of Kristy-Lee (Rob Roy), Jason, Maxine Smith, Jaimie, Ashley Smith, Christopher Sparks, Sam and Jacob Sparks and Lily Barlow, Aubrey Smith. Great grandfather of 12. Predeceased by his parents John & Mabel Duguay. Dear brother of Mae Roberts, late Albert "Bud" Duguay (late Gilda), late Melvina (Vi) James (late Carl), late Norman (late Rita), Harold (Carl), Leonard, William (Bill), Lorraine McEwen (late Philip), late Marie Saarimaki and late Gerald "Jerry" Duguay. Don will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and his best buddie Kenny Allen who always made time for dad. Don was a long time member of the Elk's Lodge. He was a familiar face to those who purchased tickets for Elk's or Royal Canadian Legion events. Don was known my many people as he was a city bus driver for over 25 years. Friends may visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 4 until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations to ARCH, Ontario March of Dimes or charity of your choice. Special thank you to the March of Dimes nursing staff for taking such good care of dad over the past 3 years. Your constant care allowed him to be at home during his illness. Thank you to the staff at ARCH for the care and compassion shown to our dad and for always acknowledging the needs of our family. Don was an avid Soo Greyhound fan for many years and he will be missed by his friends in Section 101. GO HOUNDS GO!!
