Obituary of Rita Costello

We regret to announce the passing of our loving mother Rita at ARCH on Friday, October 4, 2013. Loving mother of Christopher (Nora) and Anna-Lisa (father Vern (Pauline). Cherished grandmother of Nicole, Katie, Angela, Logan and Jordan. Wonderful step mother to Cyndy and Shirley-Anne Abel (Chris)(father Gord). Predeceased by her brother Jorma Hitto. She will be missed by her little buddy Bam Bam. Rita was born in Finland, and came to Canada at the age of 10, where she thrived. She was adopted by Heikki (Joyce) and Laura Karjalainen. At Rita's request there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A celebration of Rita's life will take place at Rita's cottage on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. Memorial donations to SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to Barbara, Bonnie, Ella Jean, Heather and Renee for their friendship. Thank you also to Ashley, Sherri and Nicky for their assistance in caring for mom.
