Obituary of Elena Stefanizzi

STEFANIZZI, Elena - We sadly announce the peaceful passing of our wife, mother and Nanna at Extendicare Mapleview on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the age of 82. Dearly loved wife of 57 years to Roberto. Devoted mother of Cathy Szczepaniak (Ed) and Gabriel (Patti). Cherished Nanna of Michael, David, Brianna and Sierra. Predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Teresa Amodeo. Sister of Gino Amodeo (Gloria) and the late Santo Amodeo (Noris). Sister-in-law of Luisa Derenzo (late Leonardo) and Lina Stefanizzi. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Elena will be remembered for her 35 years of volunteer service at the Sault Area Hospital, a long time parishioner of St. Gregory's Parish and member of the CWL. She will always be remembered for her sewing expertise. Mom always prepared great family meals and baking for her family. She was very giving of her time to others.
