It is with great sorrow we announce the tragic passing of Lawrence (Lorne) Earl Jarrett Sr., on October 9, 2013 in Osceola County, Michigan in his 85th year. Cherished and adored husband of Olimpia (Lee) for 60 wonderful years. Devoted and respected father and father-in-law of Lorne and Dianne, Rod and Sandra, Jamie and Dave, Bart and Mary, Brent and Kathy. Very proud Papa of Ryan (Lee-Ann), Meghan (Brett), Cole (Lee-Anne), Ashleigh (Matt), Jarrett (Jennifer), Patrick (Tanya), Blair (Lindsey), Troy, Caitlin (Curt), Drew (Lisa), Tyler, Stevi-Ann (Steve), Jeffrey, Kyle, Clare and Blake, who he lived his life for. Nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than his great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Mia, Lila, Zachary, Ethan, Wyatt, Aubree-Anne, Walt, Cason and Evalina. Brother of late Morley Welton (Claire), late George Oakley (Lillian). Also predeceased by Jack (Dolores), Donald, and Margaret Aubrey (Tom). Brother-in-law of Evia Desaulnier (Emile), Angelo Liut (late Dorothy), Dick Liut (Pat, late Lita), Gloria Liut (late Tony). Predeceased by Enes Zorzi (Ferti) and Sue Marzetti (El). He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special father in-law to Terri Jarrett and Terry Freamon. Lorne was one of the founders of the Soo Pee Wee Hockey Arena and former Board of Director, dedicating countless volunteer hours in constructing the building, where he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play the game he loved. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Monday evening from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Holy Family Parish at 11 a.m. with Father Boguslaw Jaroszek officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Soo Pee Wee Arena would be greatly appreciated.
