Passed away peacefully at Maple View Nursing Home on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, 10 days before her 81st birthday. Wife of the late Harry. Loving mom of Jo-Ann MacMillan (John) and Jamie (Karen). Loving grandmother to Johnny, Jennifer, James and Nick. Predeceased by her sisters Shirley Ross and Wilma Piaskowski. Step sister of Linda Lebrun (Rolly), John Nelson (Arladeen), Judy Comrie (Floyd) and Esther Young. Sister-in-law of Doris (late Joe) and Walter (Diane). Predeceased by Ivan, Mary Nevitt (Joe) and Eva Bergamin (Jack). Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Loving friend and neighbour to many. As per Joan's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to Extendicare Maple View or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
