Obituary of Harriet Yanchuk

Passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Extendicare Van Daele in her 92nd year. Wife of the late George Yanchuk and the late Ellsworth Bernard. Loving mother of Edith Bernard-LeBlanc (Albert) and Donna MacIntyre (Robert). Special grandmother to Sean McEwen (Michelle), Ellen McEwen, Jennifer MacIntyre-Bochner (Jesse) and Bruce MacIntyre (Freddi). Great grandmother of Samana, Lexi and Solace, Aimee and Jasper. Dear sister to the late Gerald Major (Louise), late Frank Major Jr. (late Theresa), late Thomas Major (late Isabel), late Daisy Campbell (late Norman) and loving brother Ross Major. Harriet is also survived by several nieces. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758). Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to the OSPCA would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Extendicare Van Daele and the Canadian Hearing Society for their excellent care and compassion in making Harriet's last few months very special. Special thanks as well to Harriet's brother, Ross Major, for his devoted care of his sister.
