Obituary of Jack Smith

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Smith at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 89. He was predeceased by his wife Helen (nee Balfour) in 1997, his brothers Sydney and Ted. Jack is survived by his two daughters Glenda Ladouceur (Richard) of Sault Ste. Marie and Sandra Gauthier (Cleo) of Matheson, Ontario. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. At Jack's request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. We would like to extend a special thank you to all the Red Cross workers who took such good care of our Dad and also Shannon (his physiotherapist) for all her help and patience over the last few months. Jack lived at the Algoma Apartments for the last 14 years and made a lot of friends with people there and at the Station Mall and enjoyed spending time with them at the Food Court.
