Obituary of June Gassi

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the age of 84. Loving and devoted wife to the late Remo Gassi. Cherished mother of Raymond (Linda), Paula, Michael (Connie), Janet Brown (Steve), Lisa Fleet (Kevin) and the late Nancy. Much loved Grandma of Jon Gassi, Jody Zappacosta, Robbie Wilson, Bryan and Shana Brown (fiancé Sean Speakman), Brandon, Jasmine and Alyssa Gassi and Devin and Dylan Fleet. Great grandmother of Matthew, Lloyd and Katie and great great grandmother of Aleeya Zappacosta. Daughter of the late Alfred and Katherine Russon. Sister of late Harold Russon (Shirley), late Fred Russon (late Mary), late Jim Russon and the late Jack Russon (Gayle). Sister-in-law of Anne Laccabue (late Jim), late Jackie Lorenzo (late Frank), late Bruno Gassi (Mary), Aurora Butkovich and the late Frank Gassi. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at Precious Blood Cathedral on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Hamish Currie officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Special thank you to the ICU nursing staff at the SAH, especially Michelle, Dave and Cindy for their care and compassion.
