Obituary of Gaspare Florio

Peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Finally reunited with the love of his life Rosaria Florio. Loving father of his only child Joe Florio (Elizabeth). Adored Nono of Anthony, Sonia and Marco. Gaspare lived these last 13 years for the love of his grandchildren, talking to them every day and growing a garden with all their favorite vegetables. He cooked them like only an Italian Nono would. Nono we will always love you, need you, miss you and most of all never forget you. Ciao, Ciao Nono! Son of the late Angela & Giuseppe Florio. Brother of Carmine Florio (late Maria) of Sault Ste. Marie and late Francesca Borgese (late Peppino) of France. Son-in-law of the late Antonia and the late Eugenio Longo. Dear brother-in-law of Angela Medaglia (late Gaetano) of Toronto, Rosa Bennardo (Giuseppe) of France, Francesca Runco (Ermerindo) of France, Maria Florio (Guglielmo) of Toronto, Ortenzia Longo of Toronto, Franco Longo (Lina) of Toronto and Ida Vettor (Mario) of Italy. Gaspare will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. At Gaspare's request, a private family funeral was held. Memorial donations to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
