After a brief illness, we sadly announce the passing of Clifford Bye on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in his 77th year. Loving husband and best friend of Mary Lou (nee Murray). Son of the late William and Eileen Bye and son-in-law of the late John and Mary Murray. Clifford will be dearly missed by his three children, Sherry Ricard (Andrew), Murray Bye (Caroline) and Derek Suzack (Tami). Much loved grandpa of Alicia Jackson (Dean), Amanda Bye, Jess, Jenna and Jayme Ricard and Anthony Suzack. Special and dear friend of Vanessa, Kierstin and Ethan Williams. Dearly loved brother of Joe Bye (late Joy), late Margaret Morphet (late Ron), late Roy Bye (Darlene), late Kathleen McLeod (late Ken), Susie Burnett (Dave) and David Bye (Darlene). Dearly loved brother-in-law of Billie Murray (Linda), Norma Bernardi (Roy) and Lynn Murray (Phyllis). "Uncle Cliffy" will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Clifford was everyone's friend who could always be counted on and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. His bright spirit and warm heart will be remembered fondly by those who knew him and especially his fellow "Gouligans". A special thank you to the Goulais River First Response team, as well as all of the doctors and nurses who tended to his care during his brief illness. A special thank you is also extended to family and friends who were so supportive and giving during this difficult time. In particular, to Norma who was at Mary Lou's side every night throughout Clifford's stay in the hospital. Friends may call at the NORTHWOOD FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE (942 Great Northern Road 705- 945-7758) on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated in the Northwood Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend Bruce McLeish. Spring interment Goulais River Cemetery.
