Obituary of Emilia Sicoly

With love and sadness the family of Emilia Sicoly (nee Carlucci) announces her passing on January 20, 2014 in her 98th year at A.R.C.H. Loving wife of the late Sam Sicoly. Cherished mother and best friend of Lena Barone (Anthony) and Gloria Meraglia (James). Grandmother of Marlene Waud (Jeff), Frank Barone (Candace), Linda Quevillon (Danny), Wendy and Janine Gilmore (Shawn). Great grandmother of Lauren, Ryan, Celine, Travis, Sarah and Anthony. Predeceased by parents Vincenzo and Rosaria Carlucci. Loving Sister of the late Alfonzo and late Achillo of Italy, Petruzza Marrelli (late Albert). Step sister of the late Thomas Carlucci (Cenzina) of Calgary, Alfonzo Carlucci (Ida) of Toronto, late Engenio Caputo (late Erminia) and the late Luisa Sicoly (late Joe). Emilia will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday morning 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Funeral mass at St. Gregory's Church on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to ARCH, St. Gregory's Parish Memorial Fund or, the Sault Area Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Our sincere thanks for the competent and compassionate care Emilia received from the health care practitioners and services including Drs. Susan and Mario Febbraro, Drs. Shafiee and Berry and the staff at the Renal clinic. Dr. Schamp, nurses and PSW's on 300B at SAH, Kathy Palombi RN, (a true Florence Nightingale of our day), CCAC services including Revera nurses Karen Cartier, Karen Emblaw, Adrienne Kappeas, RCCP PSW's Vicki White, Pat Johnson and Rebecca Thomas. Special thanks to a dear compassionate friend Tina who lifted Emilia's spirits in her time of need.
