Obituary of Katherine Thompson

Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital, January 30th, 2014, two days before her 90th birthday. Predeceased by her loving husband Clair Green Thompson (1990) and son David Douglas Thompson (1979) (June). Mother is survived by four children, Rosalind-Tay McGarrigle (Michael), Clairann Anderson (Glenn), Peterjohn Thompson and Stephanie Hall. She had eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Katherine is also survived by her sister Ioene Zagar and four brothers-in-law, Cecil Thompson, Kenneth Thompson (Betty), Donald Thompson (Connie) and Bryan Thompson (Margaret). In respect of her wishes,there will be no funeral. A committal service will be held later in the year where Mother will be reunited with Dad in Desbarats Cemetery. The family would like to thank Mother's dear friend Ivy Shewfelt, Marina Verdonk, the staff at Maple View Extended Care and the Acute Emergency Department of the Sault Area Hospital for their care and compassion.
