Obituary of Charles Atkinson

The family announces that after a very active life their husband, father and grandfather passed on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the age of 92. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Jean Edith. Dear father of Keith, Tim (Carole) and the late Beverly (Philippe Dollois). Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Merissa), James, Steven, Marc and Michelle. Charles is survived by his sisters Rachael, Helen, Gloria and predeceased by Wilbur "Bud" and Verna. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Charles was a very proud member of the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II and the Royal Canadian Legion. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. The staff and residents at the F.J. Davey Home will miss Charles as their volunteer bus driver. A private service will be held. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the staff at the Sault Area Hospital.
