Peacefully, at Extendicare Mapleview Nursing Home on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the age of 80. Special friend and husband to Barb Hoover. Loving father of Aura-Lee Clark (Wes), Bill (Sherry), Chris (late Julie) and Dawn Secord (Bev). Cherished Grandpa of Brian, Bob (Kelly), Andrew (Atsuko), Nathan, Tracey, Mac, Jamie, Megan, Dylan, Cole, Katey, Jack, Patrick and Amanda. Great grandfather to 7. Son of the late William McDonald and Step-son of the late Ida Coulter. Step-brother of Lois Helm ( John), Harold McGregor (Jane), Bob McGregor (Verna), late Clara Campbell (Larry), late Anne McClure (late Calvin), late Malcolm McGregor (late Doris). In keeping with Clifton's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. An informal come-and-go will take place at Dawn's home (912 Third Line West) on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or Soup Kitchen. Special thanks to the nursing staff at McCarroll Lake for your care and compassion.
