PLASTINO, Emelia "Maria" - Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband and best friend Antonio Plastino. Adored mother of Frank (Betty), Armando (Paula), Nella Chiarello (Frank), Dan (Tish) and the late Sylvana Plastino. Cherished Nana of Michael Plastino (Shelley), Marie Plastino (Doug), Anthony Plastino, Julie Bennetto (Peter), Natalie Plastino (Mark Palombi), Gene Chiarello (Melissa) and Terri Chiarello. Loving and proud great grandmother of Marc, Kaitlyn, Caed, Lola, Oliver, Samuel, and Mia. Predeceased by her parents Francesco and Angela Coccimiglio of Calabria, Italy. Daughter in-law of the late Francesco and Angela of Aiello, Italy. Beloved sister of the late Elvira Guzzo (late Ralph), late Rosaria Coccimiglio (late Arcangelo), late Louisa Meraglia (late Salvatore), late Anna Rosa (late Eugenio), Cesare Coccimiglio (Maria), late Mario Coccimiglio (Teresa), Eugenio Coccimiglio (Rosa) and Michelina Naccarato (late Giovanni). Sister in-law of the late Nicola Plastino (late Rosina) of Aiello, Italy, Maria Amendola (late Mario) of Aiello, Italy, Settimo Plastino (Rosaria) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Anna Pelosci (late Giovanni) of France. Maria will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews in Italy, France, the United States and Canada. Maria will also be dearly missed by her special friend Teresa Chiarello. Friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass to be held at St. Veronica's Church on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Ron Ambeault officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
