Obituary of Denise Rivard

Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the age of 58. Soul mate and best friend of Victoria Petrovitch. Loving mother of Jimmy Michaud of Sudbury, Ontario. Cherished daughter of Rita Rivard-Plante (Lucien) and predeceased by her father Lorenzo Rivard. Dear sister of Vianney Rivard (Lise), Guylaine Rivard (late George), Normand Rivard (Sylvie) all of Chelmsford, Ontario, Mario Rivard (Karen) of Edmonton, Alberta and Francine Healey (Luke) of Toledo, Ontario. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and a very large circle of friends that were very special to her. Denise was the proud owner of SAFEGUARD by Denyse for the past 23 years. Customer service was the key to her success in business. She always had everyone's best interest at heart, never forgetting special moments in their lives. Her loving ways and smile will be forever remembered by the people she has touched and those who were so very special to her. Flower gardens, travelling, RVing and motorcycling adventures were a few of the many things Denise enjoyed most in life. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Hamish Currie officiating. Everyone is welcome to join us to celebrate Denise's Life in the Reception Centre following the service. Memorial donations to the SAH-Cancer Care Fund or The Sault Symphony Orchestra would be appreciated. A very special thank you to Dr. Silvana Spadafora, cancer clinic staff and 3C for the care and compassion shown to Denise.
