It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lucrezia Brunetti in her 91st year, surrounded by her family who loved her, at the Sault Area Hospital on July 5th after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was the dear daughter of the late Francesco and late Teresa Brunetti. Lucrezia was a very beloved sister and best friend to Barbara Bitonti and dear sister-in-law to the late Pasquale Bitonti. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Giuseppe Brunetti (Lucia). Dear sister to her pre-deceased siblings, Barbara, Lucrezia and Giovanni. Very special and fondly loved Zia to Joe Bitonti (Beverly), Frank Bitonti (Norma), late Sam Bitonti , Theresa Zanatta (Rick), Rose Bruni (Marchy) and Tony Bitonti (Julie). Dear aunt to Frank Brunetti (Margaret), late Theresa Fabbricino (Marco), Vicky Whalen (Greg) and Sal Brunetti (Diane). Cherished great Zia to many especially to Pat (Heidi), Anthony (April), David, Daniel, Nicholas (Nadia), Kristopher, Andrea, Michael, Angela, Mark and Nicole. Special great great Zia to Megan, Kiara, Matthew and Kalie. Very special relative to Giovanni and Teresa Bitonti and John Bitonti. Lucrezia came to Canada in 1972 from San Giovanni in Fiore, Cozenza to live with her sister and best friend Barbara after taking care of her parents. Lucrezia worked hard all her life and she will be remembered by how she loved to tell old stories. She was an avid gardener and heaven is now very lucky to have her help planting God's garden. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of us. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, July 9th , 2014 from 10:30 a.m. to12:30 p.m. Funeral mass to follow at St. Gregory's Church at 1:00 p.m. with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Wilson for her help and compassion during this difficult time. Special thanks to nurse Susan Ball from Community Care Access Centre. Rest in Peace Lucerzia!
