Obituary of Orval Spurway

SPURWAY, Orval Jack - As shadows deepened over Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the age of 88, Orval, son of Jack and Viola Spurway, was taken from us to be reunited with his late wife Bessie (Wamsley), leaving behind his wife Gwen Hall; his children Sharon Gascon (late Marcel), Bradly (Vicki), grandsons Chris Hicks (Heather), Douglas Spurway and granddaughter Shaelyn of Nova Scotia, stepchildren Sharon Hines (Ed) of Long Island, N.Y., Spencer Hall of Captiva, Florida, Shelley Aylward (Jim), Sandra Paavilainen (special friend Marc) and Scott Hall (special friend Heidi). Brother of the late Geraldeen Torrance (late Jack), Glen (late Sheila) of Sault Ste. Marie and Evelen Leach (late Sam) of Winnipeg. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. At Orval's request, there was no visitation, only a short family service at graveside, as he was laid to rest beside Bessie in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Echo Bay with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
