Obituary of Doreen Strand

Passed away peacefully at the F. J. Davey Home on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the age of 89. Wife of the late Hans Strand. Dear mother of Neil Strand (late Lorraine), Eric Strand (Anne), Ingrid Strand and Darleen Dickson (Rick). Loving grandmother of Jennifer Strand (John Carricato), Jeffrey Strand (Pla), Kristofer Strand (Trasi Laurenson) and Samantha Law. Great grandmother of Daniel and James Carricato. She will be fondly remembered by many relatives in Norway. Doreen was a very caring and loving person who always put family first. She had a great sense of humour and loved to cook, garden, dance and listen to music. She worked many years at the Atikokan General Hospital as a seamstress and dietary aide. A funeral service was held in Atikokan Ontario. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
