Obituary of Helen Quinn

QUINN, Helen - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Helen Quinn at the age of 89 on September 19, 2014 after a lengthy struggle with dementia. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd and leaves behind her children Ronald of Toronto, Patricia (David DeLaunay) of Peterborough, Joyce (Maurice Audet) of Windsor, JoAnn (Don Trottier) of Sault Ste. Marie and Irene St. Louis of Wasaga Beach. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren Angela, Christopher, Laura, Audrey, Alex, Drew, Jonas and Keelia; and 9 great grandchildren. Helen was an active seamstress and craftsperson for many decades and also spent several years as a foster parent for the Children's Aid Society. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Ontario Finnish Rest Home for their kind and compassionate care of Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ontario Finnish Rest Home Building Fund or to the charity of your choice. There will be no visitation. Interment to take place in McKellar, Ontario at a later date.
