Obituary of Sharon Lawrence

Peacefully went to be with the Lord at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in her 68th year. Dearest long-time companion of Gilbert Gordon. Loving daughter of the late Arthur J. Lawrence, Elizabeth and the late Wayne Johnson. Devoted sister of the late Ernie Lawrence (late Dorothy), Marilyn Buscarini (late Mario), Wayne Lawrence, Gayle Kay and Kathy Johnson (Lee). Sharon will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She treated them as her own children and was always there for them. Sharon's family gives a huge heartfelt thanks to the many care providers, volunteers and others she has met on her journey that contributed to her life. This began with her mother who devoted 20 plus years to caring for Sharon at home with help from the VON and Red Cross. The next step for Sharon was being moved to the General Hospital and finally to the F. J. Davey Home Cedar Grove 1. Sharon remained an inspiration to so many, always thinking of others first and going the extra mile. Her zest for life and positive energy will be missed by everyone who grew to know her. Friends are invited to a memorial service at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Mary Alice Policicchio officiating. A reception to follow until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the F.J. Davey Home "Walkway to Health." A special thank you to the staff at SAH-ICU, Emergency and the Davey Home for the care and compassion shown to Sharon and her family.
