Obituary of Doreen Butcher

Passed away peacefully at ARCH with family by her side on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late John Butcher. Much loved mother of John Butcher (Barb), Karen Apostle (Nick) and Nancy Mangone (Sam). Cherished Grandma of Nicholas Apostle (Siobhan), Craig Apostle, Justin Mangone, Candace Mangone, David Stewart and Angela Petrie (Logan). Proud great grandmother of Mila Apostle. Sister of the late Donalda Price (Roy), Dorothy Merrett (Stan) and Ed Gartshore (Katherine). Sister-in-law of the late Jim Butcher (Vera) and George Butcher (Melba). Doreen will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Margaret Snider and Susan Cushner. A private family service was held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758). Memorial donations to ARCH would be appreciated by the family. Thanks to the staff of Pathways Retirement Home, CCAC, BayShore, WeCare and ARCH for the care and compassion shown to our mom and families. An extra special thank you to Dr. Peter Apostle. She was a strong and loving woman, who will be in our hearts and memories forever. And now at peace with her best friend and companion "Butch".
