Passed away peacefully at A.R.C.H on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the age of 74 after a courageous eight year battle with cancer. Loving wife of Dick Brownlee for 51 years. Adored mother of Nicole Holub (Craig) and reunited with her beloved son, the late Jason Brownlee who passed in 1984. Special Nana of Ty and Taylor. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Mary Amendola. Loving sister and best friend of Diane Burnell (late Brian) & family; Kyle, Beth and Zachary. Emily will be dearly missed by her cousin Barb McMillan (Ian). Sister-in-law of Judy Erickson (Terry), Pat Hammond (late Charlie) and Sandy (Mike). Emily will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Monday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Precious Blood Cathedral on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Hamish Currie officiating. Memorial donations to Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund, Health Sciences North Foundation (Sudbury) or A.R.C.H would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to caregivers and friends Christine Quinlan and Anna Deluzio, A.R.C.H, the Sault Area Hospital staff of 3B, Drs. Young and Bowen of Sudbury and Dr. Bowen of Sault Ste. Marie; your care and compassion is truly appreciated.
