Obituary of Edith Spitzbarth

Edith do Valle Spitzbarth, 83, passed away peacefully with her longtime family friend Rex by her side, on December 19th, 2014. She was the loving wife of Helmut (deceased 1998). Edith left her homeland Brazil in 1957 to marry and live in Alberta and then Sault Ste. Marie, where she worked at Sault College for 25 years in various roles. Predeceased by her parents, three sisters and one brother, survived by her one brother Walter. She leaves many relatives to mourn her, and especially her beloved niece Moema do Valle Kuyumjian, who will miss Edith's gentleness, intelligence and wonderful sense of humour. Edith left a precious legacy. She was a wise woman and someone who was always accepting of whatever came her way in life. Edith will be remembered fondly by her caring neighbours Carla and Donald McLean and family. A private service has taken place to celebrate Edith's life.
