Suddenly at home after a brief illness on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Norma (nee Zorzit) for nearly 50 years. Dearly loved father of Johanna Freiburger (John DeVlugt) and Christine Alisat (Tom). Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Alfreida and siblings Jerry, Helen, Sister Mary Herbert, Robert, Claude, Laurine and Theresa. Bill is survived by siblings Harold, Hilbert, Ralph, Rita, Margaret and Jean. Bill was a self-employed contractor in the Soo for many years. He was a hard-working, well respected man who took great pride in his work. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
