Obituary of Faustina Schiavon

Passed away peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Guglielmo. Daughter of the late Ernesto and Maria (Viscardi) Bonacina. Loving mother of the late Silvana DeGregorio (Sam). Predeceased by her siblings Vittorio Bonacina (Sofia), Giacomo Bonacina (Costante), Pieri Bonacina, Leonilda Bonacina, Caterina "Rina" (Giuseppe) and Maria Foiadelli (Piero). Special friend of Ida DeGregorio. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Italy and Canada. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funeral mass to follow at St. Gregory's Church at 2:00 p.m. with Father Ignatius Xavier officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the F. J. Davey Home, Sault Area Hospital or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. The families of Sam DeGregorio (late Silvana) and the Schiavon family would like to thank the staff of the Davey Home and the nurses and personal support workers of Driftwood Beach that took such good care of my mother-in-law Fausta. Also thank you to Dr. Wytsma and Dr. Ianni for their personal care of Fausta over the years.
