Obituary of Adrienne Desbois

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Adrienne Desbois on January 5, 2015 at the F. J. Davey Home in Sault Ste. Marie, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Olida Desbois for 72 years. Loving mother of Gloria Struk (Bill) of Sault Ste. Marie, Henry Desbois (Bonnie) of Chapleau and Ed Desbois (Gil) of Elliot Lake. Dear grandmother of Daniel (Sandra), Roxanne (Jeff), Rob, Dean (Kathy), Dale (Kim) and Mike (Natalie). Great grandmother of Carter, Eric, Ryan, Adam, Tyler, Megan, Kyle, Paige, Madison, Braeden and Shannah. Daughter of the late Nicholas and Georgina Gionet. Survived by her brothers and sisters, Romuald (late Rita), late Eutrope (Aline), late Roger (Jeannine), Elianna (late Eugene), late Gerald (Evelyn), late Edward (Lily), Jacqueline (late Jacques), Patricia (late Bernard), Ernest (late Rita) and Leonard (Helene). Sister-in-law of Orel Desbois, Rolande and Fred Michaud, the late Hector and Jessie Desbois, late Edgar and Theresa Desbois, late Laura and Adrien Charron. Adrienne was a long-time resident of Chapleau and Elliot Lake before moving to Sault Ste. Marie. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Paul Conway officiating. Spring interment at Chapleau Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, St. Gerard Majella Church Building Fund, Sacred Heart Parish (Chapleau) or Paroisse Sainte-Marie (Elliot Lake) would be appreciated by the family. Thank you to the staff of the F. J. Davey Home , especially the Apple 3, Cedar Grove 3 and Driftwood 2 staff for taking special care of our mother for the past 6 years. A special thanks to Lori-Ann and Mary for the care and compassion given to our mother in the palliative care unit (Cedar Grove 2).
