our children, Jacob & Jessica were blessed with having Bonnie as their child care provider. Bonnie and the Delfre family offered a secure and loving environment. We always say that Jessica is the independent and organized young lady today because of Bonnie's influence on her. And the story we are sharing is about 4 year old Jacob deciding to run away from home. Packed his backpack and favourite stuffed animal (mee mee the cat) and said "I'm running away to Bonnie's". As he walked down the street, I called Bonnie and warned her that Jacob was on his way. Her arms were open for him and he stayed a bit until it was time to come home. We are forever blessed to have known such a wonderful person.

My children and I sincerely thank everyone who sent messages, cards, food, made calls or visited us at this very sad time. The outpouring of kindness and support we received this week clearly showed us that our dear Bonnie was loved and respected by everyone who knew her or whom she touched. We are immensely grateful for the kind words, gracious comments and hugs and for the compassion showed by everyone who came from near and far to celebrate Bonnie's life. Our lives are forever changed by Bonnie's passing but we are strengthen by the knowledge that we are not alone in our grief. We know that our happy memories will sustain us and help to ease the pain of our loss. We will be eternally grateful to our families for their kindness, generosity, support and love. Bonnie left a legacy of caring, patience and forgiveness which we will treasure and employ to honour her memory and to keep her ever present in our lives. Bonnie was a loving mother, a faithful wife, a true friend and a caring soul.
