Dear Norm, Mildred, Derrick and Family. My deepest sympathy at this time. I will always cherish the memories of the friendship I had with Eric. The days spent skiing at Searchmount, the hours of tennis, the hours refereeing hockey together, the time spent as teammates on the Collegiate hockey team, and most of all, the hours spent in your basement listening to him learn how to play that fiddle. Again, my deepest sympathy and I'm proud to have had him as a friend.

Norman, Mildred, Christopher and Megan, Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I only got to know Eric through music playing with Second Avenue these last couple of years but he had a profound impact on me. His love of music and entertaining folks reminded me of why we choose to play music live. He was full of life and his sense of humour was very infectious. No words I have can lessen the impact of his passing, but I hope you can take some comfort in the knowledge that through his music he brought a lot of people joy and happiness.
