Obituary of Senja Eerola

Passed away peacefully on Thursday March 12, 2015 at the Ontario Finnish Resthome, Sault Ste. Marie in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Arne. Mother of Minerva (Les Allen), Ben (Susan) and Sonja (Wes Bertolo). Grandmother to Jason, Teagan (Eric Breau) and Logan (Stephannie). Daughter of the late Oscar and Mary Johnson. Survived by her sister Helvi (Ted Thurston) and predeceased by her siblings; Elna (Charles Kent), Bertha (Sam Keskinen), Arne (Veino), Aini (Fred Welsh, Nick Zelenski), Paul (Ki) and Aune Keller. Daughter-in-law to Hulda Johnson (Eerola) and sister-in-law to Irma (Toivo Peramaki). Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A family gathering will take place this summer. Memorial donations to the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association "Ussi Koti" Campaign would be greatly appreciated. Please plant a tree in Senja's memory. We would like to thank the exceptional staff at Mauno Kaihla Koti for their love, care and attention they gave our mother while in their care.
