Obituary of Umberto Mortari

It is with deep sorrow, we regretfully announce the peaceful passing of Umberto, with his family by his beside, at the F.J. Davey Home, on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Marisa and much loved father of Frank (Angela) of St. Paul, Minnesota and Lucia of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Cherished nonno of Nicholas and Marisa. Son of the late Maria and Rinaldo Mortari of Italy. Predeceased by his siblings Concetta Finateri (Giulio) and Liliana Gasperin (Giovanni). Brother-in-law to Stefanina Vendetta (Armando), Tina Bencivegna (Vittorio), Pina Decinti (Filippo), Ines Collepardi (Armando), Paolo Coltre (Cesarina) and Rinaldo Coltre (Elvira), all from Italy. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Gerard Majella Church on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the F.J. Davey Home or the Sault Area Hospital would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to express its deepest gratitude to the staff at the F.J. Davey Home (Birch Lane 1) and the Sault Area Hospital for the care they provided.
