We exist on this earth with purpose and many joys. Our journeys continue far beyond the lakes, rivers, mountains & glaciers. Our presence of love for our family remain in our hearts and when a time arrives to gently say, it's time, brings an element of pain. But please remember your mom had blessed all of you to look far beyond the skies and stars watching closely for her smile. She taught you long ago as children to never restrict your beliefs, but always go as far as the highest mountain in the world. The largest lake, ocean or river for her existence remains strong and bold continuing to love and hold closely each one of you. And it will honour her knowing you will not be sad for too long but continue to use your inner passion and love of life each and every day. Take peace in knowing she now is amongst many dear friends and family that have also crossed that amazing river. A new existence and journey that you all one day will share with her. Moms often like to be the first one to greet you home from school, work or play. And now she has moved on allowing a peaceful satisfaction she will one day be the first one to greet you when you cross that same river. Honour her this Mother's Day by watching Sunday's morning sunrise sharing the day together. And a fond good night while celebrating her life as the sunset settles reflecting many moments of joy with her. And John anytime you are out and about living life to it's fullest and a little speck of sand gets in your eye, it's just mom lovingly reminding you to always be careful!!

Every time I had the privilege of sitting one-on-one with Mary I was amazed how much she knew about Jazz music. We had terrific conversations about how she came to love the music as well as some of her favourite artists. She was also responsible for imparting that love of Jazz to her children. Mark and me had numerous conversations while I was in the dental chair. What a privilege it was having Mary as my cousin.

Dr Santana, Denise, Mark, John, Lisa, Michael and families, I was so saddened at the news of Mary's passing. She was such an elegant, wise, compassionate woman full of love for her family and those around her. I have such warm memories of my summers at camp and Mary was like a second mother to me and the many friends that the kids brought by. I will always remember her with a smile and laughter. She brought joy to many. I am sorry that I cannot be there for her funeral but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you at this difficult time. There were a few broken hearts among my friends from Collegiate in the fifties when "Donnie" married Mary. Yet, when I met Mary I understood how she stole his heart.
